Founded in 1953, The FWA Group specializes in the programming, planning, design, construction, and commissioning of research and educational facilities.Since the firm’s inception, FWA has combined creativity and problem solving to provide clients with exceptional planning and design services. Our commitment to improving the quality of the built environment while enhancing the daily experience of the users is a hallmark of our work.  The FWA Group is also committed to leading integrated design teams to create sustainable architecture with the long term goals of achieving living architecture and finally creating restorative environments. The FWA membership in the U.S. Green Building Council and our LEED Accredited Professionals are a small, more visible part of that vision. Our design experience in North America includes work in 15 states, the District of Columbia and three Canadian Provinces. FWA is committed to assisting each client to develop the best facility possible within their time and cost parameters. The FWA Group is headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina with full-service regional offices in Durham, North Carolina; Hilton Head Island, South Carolina; and Fort Collins, Colorado.
